General (5)

VERTEXpeptide is a pharmaceutical-grade peptide supplier founded in 2019 by a team of biochemists and pharmaceutical scientists. We specialise in providing research-grade compounds to academic institutions, independent researchers, and licensed laboratories across 50+ countries. Every compound we produce is independently verified for purity by ISO 17025 accredited third-party laboratories before it leaves our facility.

Our products are intended exclusively for qualified academic researchers, independent scientists, and licensed laboratory professionals conducting in-vitro or preclinical research. All compounds are supplied as research-grade materials and are not manufactured, tested, or labelled for human or veterinary clinical application. Verification of institutional or laboratory affiliation is required for all first-time orders.

No. Our products are research-grade peptides synthesised for laboratory and preclinical investigation only. They are not FDA-approved for human use, nor are they manufactured under cGMP for clinical application. Researchers are solely responsible for ensuring their use of these compounds complies with all applicable institutional, local, and national regulations governing research materials.

No prescription is required because our products are not sold for human consumption. However, we do require proof of affiliation with a registered research institution, university laboratory, or qualified independent research organisation. All orders are reviewed and approved only for verified research professionals. Institutional purchase orders are accepted for approved academic accounts.

Yes. Registered researchers and institutional accounts benefit from volume-based tiered pricing and recurring order subscription discounts. Larger research programmes with recurring monthly or quarterly requirements qualify for custom pricing arrangements based on order volume and frequency. Contact our research support team at nancy729smith@gmail.com to discuss specific laboratory requirements and pricing.

Products & Quality (5)

Research grade designates peptides that are synthesised and purified specifically for controlled laboratory research applications. At VERTEXpeptide, every research-grade compound exceeds 98% purity as verified by independent HPLC analysis and mass spectrometry, and is supplied with full analytical documentation including the Certificate of Analysis. These compounds are produced under GMP guidelines but are not manufactured under cGMP for clinical or human use.

Every single batch undergoes two independent, complementary analytical methods. High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) quantifies purity percentage and confirms compound identity by retention time. Mass Spectrometry (MS) confirms precise molecular weight and structural integrity by mass-to-charge ratio. Critically, all analytical testing is performed by ISO 17025 accredited third-party laboratories — never in-house — ensuring completely unbiased, independently verified results with every order.

HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) is the gold standard analytical technique for determining peptide purity in research settings. The method separates, identifies, and quantifies each molecular component in a peptide sample by passing it through a specialised chromatography column under high pressure, producing a detailed chromatogram that shows the target peptide peak alongside any trace impurities or degradation products. We include the complete, unedited HPLC trace and analysis report in every Certificate of Analysis shipped with your order, providing full transparency on what is in every vial you receive.

Lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptides should be stored at -20°C in a frost-free freezer, protected from light and moisture. Vials should remain sealed in their moisture-barrier packaging until ready for use. Under these recommended storage conditions, most peptides remain stable for 12–24 months from the date of synthesis. Once reconstituted with your chosen solvent, peptide solutions should be aliquoted, stored at 2–8°C, and used within 2–4 weeks depending on the specific peptide's solution stability profile. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles as these accelerate degradation through aggregation and oxidation.

Lyophilized peptides stored at -20°C in factory-sealed, moisture-protected vials typically maintain >98% purity for 18–24 months from the date of synthesis. Each vial is individually labelled with the manufacture date, peptide content, and recommended retest date. Peptides are shipped lyophilized — the most stable physical form — for maximum stability during transit. Once reconstituted, refer to the peptide-specific solution stability data provided in your Certificate of Analysis. For long-term research programmes, we recommend ordering in quantities aligned with your expected usage timeline to minimise extended storage.

Shipping & Delivery (4)

Yes. VERTEXpeptide ships to over 50 countries worldwide, with full customs documentation and declarations for research compounds. Every international shipment includes validated temperature-controlled packaging, discreet unbranded outer labelling, and all required import documentation for research materials. Delivery timeframes and shipping costs vary by destination country and selected service level. Please refer to our Shipping Policy page for detailed country-specific transit times, customs guidance, and any destination-specific requirements for research peptide importation.

Domestic US orders are dispatched same-day for orders placed before 2pm EST and typically arrive within 2–3 business days via express courier service. International orders generally arrive within 4–7 business days depending on destination country and local customs processing times. All shipments include real-time tracking numbers, delivery confirmation, and temperature exposure monitoring indicators. Expedited and overnight shipping options are available at checkout for time-sensitive research requirements.

Yes. Every order is shipped in plain, unbranded, opaque outer packaging with no indication of contents, product names, or company branding visible externally. The return address on the shipping label uses our fulfilment partner's generic business name — VERTEXpeptide does not appear anywhere on the external package. Inside, products are protected by validated temperature-controlled insulation with lyophilized vials individually sealed in moisture-barrier pouches. The Certificate of Analysis and packing documentation are enclosed inside the package, never visible from the exterior.

We unconditionally guarantee the condition and delivery of every order. If your shipment arrives with any compromised packaging, damaged vials, visible temperature excursion indicators, or is confirmed lost in transit, contact our support team within 48 hours of delivery (or expected delivery date for lost shipments). We will immediately initiate a priority reshipment at no cost to you — no questions asked. Temperature excursions during transit are continuously monitored; if the cold chain is compromised at any point, replacement is automatic and does not require you to initiate the claim.

Research & Safety (4)

Reconstitution protocols are peptide-specific, but the general procedure is as follows: Allow the sealed vial to reach ambient temperature before opening to prevent condensation. Using a sterile syringe, slowly add the calculated volume of appropriate solvent — allowing the liquid to run gently down the inside wall of the vial to avoid foaming or shear stress on the peptide. Swirl gently — never shake, vortex, or introduce air bubbles, as mechanical stress can cause aggregation and precipitation. Allow the solution to stand undisturbed for 2–5 minutes until fully dissolved and optically clear. Calculate your desired working concentration based on your specific research protocol requirements. Detailed, peptide-specific reconstitution guidance and recommended solvent systems are included with every order.

The appropriate reconstitution solvent depends entirely on the specific peptide's amino acid sequence, hydrophobicity profile, and intended research application. Most water-soluble peptides reconstitute readily in sterile bacteriostatic water (0.9% benzyl alcohol). Highly hydrophobic or aggregation-prone peptides typically require 0.1%–0.5% acetic acid solution. Some peptides require sterile phosphate-buffered saline (PBS, pH 7.4) for physiological compatibility in cell-based assays. A small subset of extremely hydrophobic peptides may require a minimal amount of dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) as a co-solvent at low concentration (<1%). Each product page in our catalogue and every Certificate of Analysis includes the recommended solvent and reconstitution protocol for that specific peptide.

We strongly advise against combining different peptides in a single vial or solution. Peptide-peptide molecular interactions, differential stability and degradation kinetics, pH incompatibility, and the potential for co-aggregation, oxidation, or deamidation can all irreversibly compromise the integrity of both compounds and invalidate experimental results. Each peptide should be reconstituted and stored separately in its own dedicated, properly labelled, sterile vial. Cross-contamination between peptides — even at trace levels — can introduce uncontrolled experimental variables that are extremely difficult to identify in downstream data analysis.

Many of our peptides are indeed suitable for in-vitro cell culture and cell-based assay research applications when properly reconstituted, sterile-filtered through a 0.22μm PVDF or PES membrane, and used at experimentally validated concentrations. We recommend verifying the specific peptide's compatibility with your particular cell line, culture media formulation, and incubation conditions through a small-scale pilot experiment before committing to large-scale studies. Our standard peptides are not tested for endotoxin levels unless the product listing explicitly states low-endotoxin or endotoxin-tested certification. For cell culture work requiring quantified endotoxin levels below specified thresholds — particularly for primary cell, stem cell, or immune cell research — please contact our team to discuss certified low-endotoxin batch availability.
